Widgets and Widget Areas – GridView PRO

To see available widgets and widget areas please navigate to WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets. You can drag and drop widgets into widget areas you like. Widgets page will look like this: GridView PRO Widgets and Widget Areas

Custom Widgets

There are 6 custom widgets bundled with the GridView PRO theme.

1. GridView Grid Posts Widget

This widget is used to display a Recent/Category/Tag/PostIds based posts grid. These posts can be displayed according to Number of Post Likes/Number of Post Views/Number of Comments/Published Date/Modified Date or random order.

2. GridView List Posts Widget

This widget is used to display a Recent/Category/Tag/PostIds based posts list. These posts can be displayed according to Number of Post Likes/Number of Post Views/Number of Comments/Published Date/Modified Date or random order.

3. GridView Tabbed Widget

This widget is used to display a Recent/Category/Tag/PostIds based 3 posts lists (in tabbed format). These posts can be displayed according to Number of Post Likes/Number of Post Views/Number of Comments/Published Date/Modified Date or random order.

4. GridView Grid Ads Widget

This widget is used to display a content(advertisement,video,…) between your posts in the posts grid. Important: Add this widget into the “Grid Ads Widgets” widget area only.

This widget is used to display a content(advertisement,video,…) without widget title,paddings,borders,backgrounds,…

6. GridView About and Social Widget

This widget is used to add an image and description about you with social buttons. It has 60+ social buttons.

1. Featured Homepage Widgets

This widget area is located inside the “Featured Homepage” custom page template. To display widgets added to this widgets area, apply “Featured Homepage” custom template to any page you want (How to Apply a Custom Page Template). Tip: If you are using a “A static page” as your homepage, you can apply “Featured Homepage” custom template to that page.


2. Header Right Widgets

This widget area is located on the right side of the header of your web page. You can drag and drop a “Custom HTML” widget into this widget area and add your 728×90 banner ad code into that widget.


3. Sidebar 1 Widgets

This widget area is located on the left-hand side of your web page.


4. Sidebar 2 Widgets

This widget area is located on the right-hand side of your web page.


5. Top Full Width Widgets (Default HomePage)

This full-width widget area is located after the header of your website. Widgets of this widget area are displayed on the default homepage of your website (when you are showing your latest posts on homepage).


6. Top Full Width Widgets (Static HomePage)

This full-width widget area is located after the header of your website. Widgets of this widget area are displayed on the static homepage of your website (when you are using a static page as your homepage).


7. Top Full Width Widgets (Single Pages)

This full-width widget area is located after the header of your website. Widgets of this widget area are displayed on single post of any post type (except attachments and pages) of your website.


8. Top Full Width Widgets (Singular Pages)

This full-width widget area is located after the header of your website. Widgets of this widget area are displayed on single post of any post type (including attachments and pages) of your website.


9. Top Full Width Widgets (Everywhere)

This full-width widget area is located after the header of your website. Widgets of this widget area are displayed on every page of your website.

This widget area is located at the top of the main content of your website. Widgets of this widget area are displayed on the default homepage of your website (when you are showing your latest posts on homepage).

This widget area is the column 1 of the footer of your website.

This widget area is the column 2 of the footer of your website.

This widget area is the column 3 of the footer of your website.

This widget are is used to display content/ads between posts of your posts grid. Important: Only add “GridView Grid Ads Widget” into this widgets area.


More Specific Widget Locations

1. If you want to add a widget to a specific location, first please install and activate Widget Display Conditions or Widget Context plugin.

2. Drag and drop your widget into any of the below widget area:

  • Header Right Widgets
  • Sidebar 1 Widgets
  • Sidebar 2 Widgets
  • Top Full Width Widgets (Everywhere)
  • Top Widgets (Everywhere)
  • Bottom Widgets (Everywhere)

3. If you are using “Widget Display Conditions” plugin, you will see a button called “Display conditions” at the bottom of your widget settings. Click on that button.

4. Now click on “Add group” button.

5. Set your widget display conditions and click save.
